Online Dating - Safety Tips

Gone are the days when you dated local girl or the boy from your neighborhood or school and it was all fun and game leading to possible romance and long-term relationship. Everyone knew each other and there were no big surprises. Unfortunately not anymore..!! Internet has made it easier for people, no matter where they are to meet online. It is very difficult to know who and what you are dealing with. People should be cautious about whom they meet, how they meet and where they meet. I will provide a series of precautions one can take to make online dating experience a safe and pleasant. 1.If you are really interested in someone to proceed on personal basis, try to find as much as possible about him or her. If they don't answer some personal question or seem evasive, move on. 2. If you have decided to meet the person, find a busy location to meet. Prefer a non-intimate location. Don't go to his/her house or invite them to yours for initial meetings 3. Let someone at home know where you are going to be and whom you are meeting. Have them check on you on your cell a couple of times. 4. When you get to the destination, call your friend and family to let them know that you got there ok. Let them know what time you will be back and that you will call when you get back home. If you decide to prolong the evening, give them a call and let them know. 5. Do not leave your drink on the table when you are dancing or going to the bathroom. Finish it or carry with you. 6. Do not accept food or drinks that you don't recognize. 7. If you must, drink moderately. Don't Drink and drive. 8. Let your family know when you are home. Good Luck..!! Hope all your dates are safe and pleasant..!!
